Metalchicks is the two-girl band by Sugar Yoshinaga (Buffalo Daughter) and Yuka Yoshimura (ex. DMBQ, OOIOO) from Tokyo
Formed: December 2000
First album release: "Metalchicks" July 29, 2005 (Music Mine)
Second album release: "St. Wonder" July 21, 2006 (Heat Cartel/ Kotori Punk)
12" single "Tears For Fears/ Conspiracy" released in July 2006 (Life Line)
The Japan's blockbuster movie "Warau Michael" featuring music of Metalchicks is now showing nationwide in Japan. (Summer 2006)
Performed in Canadian Music Week 2005 (March 2005)
Fuji Rock Festival 06 (at Red Marquee stage, July 2006)
The bands Metalchicks shared the stage with in the past:
Sonic Youth, The Fucking Champs, Buffalo Daughter, Andreas Tilliander, Moto Compo, Bleach, Exit Calm, BEZ from Happy Mondays, etc.
