this is a metal band. I used to play in metal bands in high school back when i played the electric bass. i played the electric bass because all my friends played guitar. it was by default. I learned the entire bass part to Master of reality before my first lesson. When I was a senior in college I decided to play clarinet, as it suited what kind of music I wanted to make more. Now i want to culturally regress, yet i can't see going back to the bass. The solution is the electric clarinet. Inspired by Edmund Welles leader Cornelius Boots' robot bass clarinet, i got myself a pickup and some pedals and started writing some metal. I then enlisted the talents of Matthias Bossi (Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Book of Knots) on drums and Jesse Quattro (Secret Chiefs 3, Hammers of Misfortune) on vocals. Thus was born what you hear, and I'll just end by saying that I love this music and I am serious, even though I think it is fucking hilarious and insane.
