METAL C.O.M.M.A.N.D.

[Concerts Organisation Management Montpellier Association Novation Distribution]

Formée en septembre 2005, la structure METAL C.O.M.M.A.N.D. avait pour objectifs de soutenir et de participer au développement de la scène Underground; du Rock au Métal Extrême en passant par le Punk, l'Indus, le Gothique, la musique Expérimentale, etc... Pour cela, l'association a tenté de mettre en place une plateforme d'échange entre les principaux acteurs du développement culturel, les artistes et le public. Pour cela, 3 actions ont été menées :

• l'organisation de concerts sur Montpellier,
• la gestion d'un catalogue de Distribution entièrement consacré aux autoproductions,
• l'association fin 2006 avec le Webzine Rock/Métal français PAVILLON 666 dans le cadre de la réalisation de compilations promotionnelles dédiées aux autoproductions (8 volumes édités à ce jour).

D'avril 2006 à mars 2009 l'association a organisé plus de 30 concerts avec des groupes locaux (Combustion Spontanée, Evil Country Jack, Zoldier Noïz, Psykogun, Kursed, Introverted Violence, Oïnk...), nationaux (Charnier, The Seven Gates, Malleus Malleficarum, Otargos, Prime Sinister, Tamtrum, Herrschaft, Muckrackers, Obszon Geschopf...) et internationaux (The Mochine, Midian, Kampfar, Elite, Disgorge, Inhume, Nunslaughter, Sathanas).
Par manque de temps et de moyens financiers, la structure décide de mettre fin à ses activités d'organisation de concerts en avril 2009. Le catalogue de distribution ainsi que la collaboration avec le Webzine PAVILLON 666 demeurent cependant actifs.

Conscients que l'arrêt des concerts ne va définitivement pas contribuer au meilleur développement de la scène Métal montpelliéraine, les membres de METAL C.O.M.M.A.N.D. tiennent à remercier toutes les personnes, groupes et structures qui nous ont soutenus jusque là, elles se reconnaîtront !!!

Founded in September 2005 in Montpellier, Languedoc Roussillon, France. The purpose of the METAL C.O.M.M.A.N.D. structure was to support and be involved in the development of the Underground scene; from oldest Rock'n'Roll influences to the Darkest Extreme Metal, through Punk, Industrial, Gothic and Experimental Music... Our activities mainly concerned:

• Concert organizations in Montpellier (Southern France);
• A Mailorder catalogue entirely devoted to self-productions;
• A collaboration with the French Rock/Metal Webzine PAVILLON 666, especially concerning the realization of promotional compilations dedicated to self-produced bands (8 issues have been reseased since 2006).

From 2006 to 2009, we organized more than 30 gigs featuring local (Combustion Spontanée, Evil Country Jack, Zoldier Noïz, Psykogun, Kursed, Introverted Violence, Oïnk...), national (Charnier, The Seven Gates, Malleus Malleficarum, Otargos, Prime Sinister, Tamtrum, Herrschaft, Muckrackers, Obszon Geschopf...), as well as international bands (The Mochine, Midian, Kampfar, Elite, Disgorge, Inhume, Nunslaughter, Sathanas).
In April 2009, we decided to stop all our orgazing activities due to a lack of both time and financial support. Nevertheless, the Distribution and Webzine stuffs are still active. You can check our online store for info.

We're aware that stopping our organizing activities won't help in spreading the Metal sickness through our area. However, we want to deeply thank all the people, including bands, structures and friends, who have supported us since the beginning. You know who you are!!!
