Metalety are presenting their own vision of Metal without following any particular stylistic concept. Since the beginning the intention was to write “catchy and ass-kicking” songs which would capture the listeners minds and “neck”. Elements of oldscool-metal as well as modern influences give the ear-catching and especially grooving songs a unique character.




Already in 2005, Metalety was founded by Benny Schmidt (Vocals/Guitar) and Sven Stankowski (Drums). The energy in their songs was stronger than expected. So what first started off as a pure studio project, ended in the search for further musicians, who share their vision of metal.

This search was finally crowned with success in summer 2007. With Anna Olejniczak the position of the lead guitarist was staffed. Shortly after that the Band was completed with the bassist Benjamin Homberger.

The Band was preparing for their first live activities and working on their demo as Benjamin Homberger decided to leave the band, right before their live premiere at the “Spektrum”, a local club in Castrop-Rauxel.

Thanks to the help of Kai Schwittek (guitarist of “The Claymore”) who spontaneously agreed to play the bass, this gig was yet a condign debut. And at the following performance at the “Painthouse” in Dortmund, Metalety could again rely on the assistance of Kai.

After coping with these problems it was time to find a new bassist, which emerged more difficult than expected. Not until in June 2008 a new bass-player was found. But the extensive search was worth it: with Patrick Bach the band engaged an innovative and creative musician who would fit perfectly into the band’s chemistry.

Complete again Metalety finished their meanwhile overdue 5-Track-Demo “Lost Soul” and are currently preparing their upcoming gigs!
