This story really isn't new - a maniac on music founds a CD mailorder, the
business booms and what originally has started as one-man business grows all
though the years up to a five-men team.
This is the story of AOR Heaven mailorder which was established in 1994 and in
the meantime became the market leader in Europe regarding Melodic and Hard Rock.
Thanks to the good contacts to a couple of business insiders, the label of the
same name was founded in 1997 in collaboration with the company Point Music
which is responsible for releases such as BALANCE OF POWER, NETWORK, BOBBY
KIMBALL, T'BELL, STREET TALK, TALK OF THE TOWN, FRONTLINE, ALYSON AVENUE or
VITAL SIGNS - just to mention a few.
Since January 2004, AOR Heaven has been working as autonomous label and with
Soulfood found a capable distributor for Germany and Austria. Analog to this,
foreign distribution matters have also been forced and resulted in the
collaboration with the following partners as part of a newly established
European distribution network:
Austria: Soulfood BeNeLux: Rough Trade Bulgaria: Wizard LTD Finland: Supersounds France: Underclass Germany: Soulfood Hungary: Hammer Music UK: RSK Entertainment Italy: Frontiers Sweden: Border Music Switzerland: Disctrade Spain: Goi Music
With a focus on a permanently changing market, the sublabel METAL HEAVEN was
founded in 2004 which in the meantime has become the solid foundation of the
company AOR Heaven. Since the sales, especially in the AOR genre, most recently
rapdily went down, the focus of our label in the future will lie on Melodic
Metal/ Hard Rock. Certainly, we still also will be active with the AOR Heaven
label.
