…1993 it’s a very beginning of label’s history, as a Russian-Ukrainian co-enterprise Metal Scrap Corporation that made a grandiose plans on a future. Project failed because of Russian side which behaved itself as a RIP-OFF. 1994 may be considered as a true date of birth, when Metal Scrap’zine1 saw the world.
The first audio-release compilation “Thursday 13” appeared on 1995.
The fifth compilation named “S.O.D.O.M. & G.O.M.O.R.R.A.” got the best comments in underground (at edition time). It was called the best on C.I.S. underground by most critics and listeners.
Great comments had Metal Scrap’zine3 (1997), one of the fifth of the best zines in C.I.S.
The beginning of a new millennium became a hard period for Metal Scrap. Somewhere between 2003-2004 Metal Scrap stopped its existence without any official statement.
2007…Metal Scrap Production reanimating with sixth release – compilation called “Eastern Storms” (2CD). This release must see the world in 2002, but appeared just now because of above-mentioned reasons. This compilation represents bands (their compositions) which are (or were at that time) on a Metal Scrap distro on a contractual basis with bands, their promoters or publishers.
Our hopes for Metal Scrap’s extension we rely upon a future releases…
Nowadays Metal Scrap Production is going to appear a new release. We’re planning to bring a new CD out on summer 2008.
