Metal Witch are a German heavy metal band. We started in Wedel, right outside of Hamburg, in 1985. But the band played only a few local gigs and split up in 1987. Then, with the rise of old school metal before the millennium change, Metal Witch reformed, with the original members, in 1998. We released a demo, "Ready To Burn" in 2002, and our first full-length album, "Risen From The Grave" in 2008. Both were independently released. In 2009, Slaney Records (Ireland) released the split album "Outbreak Of Metal Vol. 1" with Metal Witch and the US thrashers Vindicator. Since then Metal Witch continues as an underground act, gaining a cult following all over the world.

1987 - Split up for private and professonal reasons.
1998 - Reunion of the original members!
2001 - METAL WITCH finally complete with bassplayer Thorsten Meyer.
2002 - The first CD "Ready To Burn" comes out.
2004 - Opener of the 7th "Headbangers Open Air" festival in Brande Hörnerkirchen after winning the "Headbangers Ballroom bandbattle" in Hamburg.
2005 - Support for AGENT STEEL (USA) in Hamburg.
2006 - Kick off band at the official "Wacken Warm Up Party" in Hamburg. Co-headliner at the "Kielowatt Festival".
2007 - "Risen From The Grave" studio recording sessions.
2008 - The second CD "Risen From The Grave" comes out. Founding member Dietmar Hanke quits the band. Lorenz Hoppe becomes new METAL WITCH guitarist.
2009 - Co-headliner with ARTILLERY and GRAVE DIGGER at the "4. Kuttenfestival". Split CD with VINDICATOR (US) on SLANEY RECORDS (Ireland).
