    The big 2, Music and Video Games. If you feel music the way I feel it, we'll get along fine. I sing, I dance, I sit in the car and bob my head. My car doesn't sound good enough, I upgrade the soundsystem as it needs. I don't have enough music, download it off the internet. Takes to long to download? Upgrade the computer. Same thing with my games. I'm a much nicer person if you let me veg for a bit. I can read, but a good game can work as a good bridge between reading a good book and watching a good movie.     Finally got around to watching the 40 Year-Old Virgin. It was stupid, as I was expecting it to be, but it was a surprisingly good movie all the same. You should see it, though not with your kids...

I'm what happens to a person when the things that are supposed to excite you in life all get old really quick. Girl-chasing, the latest fashion craze, or electronic fad are all fine and dandy for a moment, but you look back at it and think to yourself "I went crazy over THAT?" Thus, in all my travels, I've made it my point to endeavor to find the simpler things in life. The answers to those little emails we've all gotten... You know the one: "If you were stranded on a desert island, what would you bring with you and why?"

Wanna know something cool, answering the why is the best part of the searching experience, since you can determine if your reasoning is superfluous.

I'm a brain. An encyclopedic receptical of useless facts, but always the first one you think of when a game show comes to town. I'm your nemesis in Trivial Pursuit, and the guy you'd want for your phone a friend on "Who wants to be a Millionaire". The nickname "Genius" has followed me up and down the east coast, all the way to Colorado. With all that, you'd think I was arrogant, and I do show off a bit. But there's a saying... the more you know, the more you know you don't know, and I'm realizing that, so the chase for knowledge itself has started to become old to me.

I know what I need for that day, for that moment. I'm as strong as I need to be for whatever situation in which I'm placed. I remain calm in harrowing situations, mainly because, I'll either make it, or I won't. Since my whole life has been leading up to my next moment, I figure I'll give my whole life for it. What's your life leading to?

Word on Faith

To speak on my religious beliefs is somewhat difficult at the moment. I have a firm and unshakable belief in God, but I honestly believe that there is more than one way to get there. Don't get me wrong, it's more about the lifestyle than the dogma. A new Christian gets inundated with a series of do's and don'ts, and if they follow them implicitly, they'll lead a full life, but one filled with questions that need answers, and their life has been spent without knowledge.

All the same, knowledege isn't necessarily something one should strive for, as there will always be things someone needn't know, or doesn't want to know, for example, how long will your children live? I've espoused philisophical Taoism in conjunction with my faith walk, and it's opened my eyes to totally new possibilities. A taoist philosophy enables one to enjoy the present without so much concern over the future, as regardless of how much planning you do, the future comes to you anyway. But the only future that's totally relevant is the next moment, and you have all of the knowledge, resources, and tools required for you to handle that moment, and the ability to learn from that moment to prepare you for the next. One's reality changes according to the circumstances around them, and that reality only exists while you're in it. If you let that moment be in you as well, you'll be able to work with it, regardless of what it brings.
