May 2008: Metatrone live in Australia for World Youth Day 2008.
Dear friends, it's time for a great update on live concerts program. Metatrone has been approved and confirmed to play as guest at the forthcoming edition of World Youth Day that will be in Sydney from 15 to 20 July this year. The countdown has began: less than 60 days and the band will reach Australia for two live performances, touching Melbourne first (live at the Australian Catholic University Central Hall on 12th July, as part of the Days in the Dioceses Youth Festival) and Sydney as second and final destination, live at Tumbalong Park as part of the Youth Festival, on Wednesday 16th July. Don't miss them!
Fifth edition of much acclaimed christian heavy metal
fest in all Europe is over. Metatrone gained a lot of new fans throughout a memorable live performance featuring band's highlighted songs, taken from The Powerful Hand. The audience was incredible and their support was conclusive for such a great gig. At the end of the last song, loud a choir arised from the audience crying "...Sing again! Sing again!...". Absolute amazing! All the bands involved into this edition were very professional and human, for a real heavy metal bill. To those musicians it goes Metatrone's sincere wish to have a shining future. They were three days of sharing and communion. In particular on Saturday afternoon there was Metatrone's seminar themed on the sense of friendship, for another great moment, with guys from all Europe. Definitely EOR08 was a success both in music both in spirituality. It is something you should not be missed. And now we look forward to next edition. Get ready!
January 16th 2008: Live updates.
As promised, here to you all fans the first official live appointment for Metatrone this year: the band will play at the fifth edition of the Elements of Rock 2008, placed as the previous ones in Stadthofsaal Theater, in the city of Uster, Switzerland, from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th April. Date and time for Metatrone's show will be revealed soon.
January 4th 2008: A new year.
Welcome to a brand new year full of projects for Metatrone, now that a great 2007 has flowed away. But there's no time to make an appraisal of what have been. Let's jump into some new cool stuff! The band's approaching to end the preproduction; yesterday Davide Bruno was on air for an second interview with Radio Galileo (Terni-Perugia_Viterbo) thanks to Giancarlo Padula; few days and the version 2.0 of Metatrone's official website will be online. Stay tuned!
This project was created to demonstrate that heavy metal music can be related to Jesus and the Bible, and not only that. Metatrone, infact, have another important mission in life: to take part in benefit activities all around the world. Metatrone started their trip at the end of the nineties. Every single musician had a different background (from AOR to power/progressive metal) and, all together, started the band in 1998. The band founder, keyboard player Davide Bruno, entered the theological seminary in Catania, Sicily, in 2001, and that's when every single musician in Metatrone started to really focus all the energies in creating the most passionate music around, being truly and deeply inspired by the catholic culture. 'The Powerful Hand', the band's first album, initially recorded in Italian and then translated into English, was made in cooperation with the theological seminary in Catania and is now released worlwide by Scarlet Records, and by King Records for Japan and Far East only.
Original version, 'La Mano Potente' is released by TRP Music for Italian territory only.
From November 2007 the band is on working to produce the next studio album which will be release early in 2008.
