With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, between them, both Jono and Ed have accomplished a great deal in Australia and aborad. Jono stemming from his dance production background and Ed from his mix engineering background decided to join forces for the Methods Of Flow project in 2005.
Ed with over fourteen years experience in the music industry, spent six years as Chief Engineer of Jazzie B’s “Soul II Soul” studios in London.
During this time Ed worked across the board for many major international artists, producers, record companies and songwriters.
Previously managed by Jazzie B as a Mix Engineer/Producer successes include engineering the U.K top 3 hit “Loving Each Day” by Ronan Keating, mixing the U.K top 10 garage anthem “Battle” by Wookie and Special Ed’s house and trance mixes of “What’s Going On”, (an Exemen remix of Soul II Soul’s “Back To Life”) which reached the top 15 in the U.K dance charts.
Recent remixes include artists such as Mel C, Liberty X and The Egg.
Jono was previously known for his aptitude in progressive house but it's only the slow learner who would still class Jono as just a 'progressive DJ / producer'.
While every DJ and his dog nowadays claims classical training on anything from the horn to the harp (Jono officially plays the flute, piano, violin and guitar btw), it’s not every DJ whose geeky musical background results in a track on a GU mix by Dave Seaman. Or every producer whose tinkerings in the studio produce gems like these ones: “Colours of Conscience” (Electrofly), “Monkey Business” (EQ Grey), “Northern Lights” (Erase), “Deliver Me” (Institution), “Directions In Groove” (Pangea) “Before You Break On Me/Before You Beat My Box” (M Theory) and “Come To Me” (Screen) with Luke Chable as well as remixing “Scream to Be Heard” by SDM Soundclash (Baroque).
Over the last couple of years, his selection of sounds has varied, the most prolific of which have been tech, electro and breaks. Right now, he has tracks being picked up, produced and remixed left, right and centre in the scene, involving high profile lads like Koma & Bones, Meat Katie, Dylan Rhymes and Klaus Heavyweight Hill.
Methods Of Flow can be heard every Saturday night on Melbourne's Kiss FM mixing up a blend of breaks and house!
