It's been a year.
I have learned so much from Athena's death. I've learned that she was not only the most giving person around but that the relationships she made were worth their weight in gold. While I pale in comparison to that beautiful soul, if you need to talk to someone know that I'm always around.
I love you Athena. You'll always be with me... you'll always be a part of us all.

The one closest to my elbow (not pictured) is for my niece, Enjoli, who will turn 6 on Saturday the 16th. She was taken from us by Child Protective Services and adopted out. I cannot see her for at least 12 more years.
The one that's only half pictured is for my maternal grandma Eleanor.
The one on the left (The first full turtle) is for Athena.
The one to the right is for my little brother Marcus.
