Metrogroove is a new house label run by Dean Saunders and Will Dawson. The music policy is predominently vocal house with mixes ranging from soulful house to more peak time, main room sounds. Combined they have over 30 years experience in the music industry. Will worked for Matrix Records in the early ninties before going on to run his Nitelife Records imprint from '99 to '04 and has more recently worked at Defected from '05 to '07. He started DJing back in '91 and has played at most of the top bars and clubs in his home town of Brighton including The Zap, Ocean Rooms, Escape & Sugacube. He's co-produced tracks with DJD (Midnite Touch) & Mosco working with vocalists such as Abigail Bailey, Amrick Channa, Johnnie Fiori & Angie Brown. His biggest single to date was his solo project 'Under the water' gaining huge DJ support including the accolade of 'Essential new tune' from Pete Tong in August '03. Dean has been DJing for the last 14 years & produced under various guises such as Velvet Jones (Nitelife/Player), Mobile Drones (Crescendo Music) and more recently as World of Colour with remixes on DSR, Soul Funk Digital and Fizzeek Records. The first two World of Colour singles 'Change' featuring Nicole tyler & 'Burning' featuring Pepper MaShay will be released through Metrogroove later this year.

As one of South London's early house pioneers Crispin J Glover has recorded for labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Junior Boys Own, R&S & SonyBMG to name but a few. Here he makes a welcome return with this cover of the Shay Jones classic 'Are you gonna be there' with a diverse, quality selection of remixes. First up, one of Russia’s finest up & coming producers Yuriy Poleg turns out an excellent vocal club mix. One Foot in The Groove deliver a solid bumpin' funky house mix while Mark Heinemann takes things in a more soulful house direction leaving Glover's original mix which is ripe for the main room sets with a more electro-tech vibe.

M-Trax is Metrogroove’s sub label for the more diverse trackier main room projects. Out Now, the first release ‘Rock all night long’ by DJD presents the Hydraulic Dogs is getting huge support from the likes of Stonebridge, Richard Earnshaw, Alister Whitehead and John Jones (Hed Kandi). Also out now is Jay Cox's - Close your eyes which is getting some good feedback too. Other forthcoming releases include tracks from Velvet Jones and Patrick L.
Nitelife Records returns...
As part of a joint venture Metrogroove will soon be re-releasing select titles from the Nitelife Records catalogue with remixes of some of the key titles. Nitelife was set up in 1999 by Will Dawson and ran until 2004. Releases include early productions from Mark Knight and Jason Herd (The Residents), Will Dawson, DJD (Hydraulic Dogs), Crispin Glover, Michael O'Sullivan (Sullee/Moscomusic) & Dean Saunders. Featured vocalists included such luminaries as Lisa Millett, Isabella Fructuoso, Abigail Bailey and Johnnie Fiori.
