About me: ..Met..ro*ma"ni*a.., n. - A mania for writing verses.
Metromania Magazine was created by Brianne Killoran and Heather MacPherson. Our staff photographer and fellow editor is Joy MacPherson.
Metromania Magazine is an online magazine of meeting minds and swapping stories. It is for people in all places of life who value good conversation and exceptional writing. It is for business people who scribble poems on napkins during lunch breaks, students who pause between Algebra classes to swap stories from their childhoods, and for those who endanger the lives of others by jotting down song ideas during rush hour traffic. It is for those who perceive the world's moments as a poet, search for storylines in the seemingly ordinary as a fiction writer, or have a message in a life experience and need a place to unleash it. It is for those who haven't forgotten the merit of stopping to share their words with others.
Metromania Magazine does not accept previously published work.
Simulataneous submissions are accepted.
Submit 3-5 unpublished poems at a time of any style or length.
Submit 1 short story at a time per reading period. (5,000 words max each)

Email submissions may be sent to

At this point in time, we are
only able to offer writers the opportunity to showcase their work and
broaden their audience. However, we promise that our writers will be the
first to know if we hit the lotto or if Ed McMahon ever shows up on our
doorstep with an awkward, over-sized check. (And that, of course, is a lie.
If any of us win the lottery, we'll take the money and run!)
