Mario is a Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, and Composer of "Latin Fusion". Mario provides music services for Art Exhibits, Banquets, Private Affairs, Fine Dining, Soundtracks, Special Events, Tastings, and Clubs. Mario composes and performs Guitar, Vocal, and Instrumental "Nu-jazz" music. ********************************************************************************************************** At an early age Mario Metsovaara-Torrez was exposed to the musical diversity of Chicago and Milwaukee, while growing up on the Illinois - Wisconsin border. Classical, Blues, Jazz, and Rock filled the multicultural lakefront of Lake Michigan. Mario was introduced to the Spanish guitar through his Mexican American family roots. At the age of five MMT began singing and playing with the guitar. While living with family in Belgium and Finland Mario traveled Europe. There Mario was introduced to the Gipsy music of Belgium, France, Luxemburg, and the Netherlands. At the age of eleven Mario began performing on solo guitar while attending school in England. Mario's musical education included both Classical and Contemporary guitar, such as Blues and Rock. While attending College in the United States, Mario continued his musical education in Classical, Finger Style, Latin, and Spanish guitar, and the Music of South America. ********************************************************************************************************** Mario Metsovaara-Torrez provides private musical instruction in Acoustic, Electric, and Bass guitar. Mario also provides instruction in Vocals, Keyboards, Percussion, and Music Theory. Mario Metsovaara-Torrez Holds Liberal Arts Degrees and Certificates in: Music; Sociology; and Counseling. ********************************************************************************************************** Also in 2008. Mario has also joined with Artist and Film Maker John Bonifacio Moreno on his project, "Un Mejor Manana". Mario's instrumental guitar composition and sound recording of "El Mexi Can" was used in this documentary film.
