About me: Metta Designs came into existence out of a personal spiritual search that came full circle. "Metta" is the Pali or Buddhist word for loving kindness. My search helped me realize my need for self expression, love for myself, and loving-kindness for the natural world around me. My designs are an expression of this love.
I've tried to incorporate recycled items, pieces of nature, precious stones, Sterling silver and love into my designs. I am an owner of a family owned retail jewelry store named Max Reiss Jewelers. I've been in the jewelry business for 12 years and have been creating my own designs for about one year. I have taken metal-smith classes, Gemology courses, a PMC class and jewelry repair courses. My education has always centered- around design and the arts. I have always loved working with my hands.
Creating jewelry allows me to express my artistic ideas in a way that others can enjoy and hopefully appreciate .I hope my designs bring Joy to all that wear them. Peace!
Who I'd like to meet: People who are brave enough to express who they are, or at least be on a journey searching. Other like minds that have a passion to create and express themselves by whatever means possible. I would love to meet more people who have a love for this world we live in and appreciate the true miracles all around us. Close your eyes and you will hear lifes greatest symphony.Happiness isn't cheap so part with it sparingly.
hope everything went well for you at the fairy festival...it was great to see the guys last night. it seems like a long time in between lately. it's cookout time, so we will have to gather the shealers and party down one night!
