Welcome and Thank You for visiting Mexicapan Dance Academy. With approximately 4000sq. ft., Mexicapan Dance Academy is a leader in San Antonio's Mexican Folkloric dance community.
Embracing one of San Antonio's oldest cultural influences, the Academy has taken the challenge of preserving the traditions of Mexican decent. Entertaining and educating audiences of all ages, students participate in venues ranging from backyard birthday parties to national festivals and conventions.
Brief History
In 1994, under the direction of Mr. Miguel Ponce, "Grupo Folklorico Mexicapan" was born in the city of San Antonio, Texas. In 1999, Grupo Folklorico Mexicapan became Mexicapan Dance Academy. Now under the direction of Mr. Victor Castillo Jr., the Academy continues its mission.
