Nuestros antepasados prehispánicos nos legaron un tesoro invaluable de tradiciones y costumbres, mismas que le han dado un toque místico y mágico a nuestra Cultura. Una de estas tradiciones que se han conservado es el juego de pelota prehispanico que se practica en el Municipio de Guamuchil/Mazatlan y se le conoce como el "Juego de la Ulama".
El juego del Ulama se practicaba en tres modalidades que son: con mazo, de antebrazo y de cadera, siendo este ultimo el que no obstante, a las prohibiciones y avances de otros deportes de origen Europeo, ha vuelto a resurgir en ciertas regiones de México y muy especialmente en el Estado de Sinaloa situación que ha permitido la perpetuación de uno de los deportes más antiguos que se practicaban en Mesoamerica.
"El Juego de Pelota representa en última instancia el eterno juego de los contrarios que genera el movimiento perenne, que pone en acción en el cosmos la vida de todo lo existente, en alternancia de vida y muerte."

Rampart Recording Artist, “MEXICO 68” is a nine (9) piece Latin Funk Band based out of East Los Angeles, California and is heavily influenced by the Afro Beat Rhythms of Nigerian Recording Artist, Fela Kuti and Antibalas, the Afro Beat Orchestra from Brooklyn, New York. The group is fronted by composer and guitarist, Martin "Tochtli" Casillas.
The groups is currently recording a CD Single, “People Radio” and “Plastic Faces (Uli Xayacah)” that will also be featured on the Rampart Records 50th Anniversary CD Box Set due for release in 2010. Since 1960, Rampart Records has been devoted almost exclusively to the development of Mexican American Chicano Music and is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).
