       About MEXICO
The geographical supergroup to end all supergroups: MEXICO.

Anders Taakentov, Bob Grogan, Kelvin Shan and Drew Enaht are well known to international fans of pop prog throughout the universe. Having cut their musical teeth in such groups as Mellow Midget, DRM, Space Cabbage, Grandma’s Psychedelic Egg, and Free the Fudge, these musicians know where to put it. And put it they do!

Well known for such hits as "Only Tell the Time", "82 Hustlers" and "Element of Pants", they have decided to regroup and record a new album.

The band's releases include their 1982's eponymous debut, the follow-up Maxico and the remix album Mixico, as well as the half live album Live and Yet Not Live.

They are somehow connected with Solution Science Systems.

I met Anders Taakentov once. It was backstage at a King Crimson show. He poured a drink over Bill Bruford's head. Ruined his canary yellow suit.

I still have my 45 of "Only Time Will Tell The Time (For Me)". IIRC, the B-side was an instrumental entitled "Get That Feeling". I have to admit, I didn't particularly want whatever feeling was being gotten by them... Still "Only Time..." is an 80's masterpiece.

I can't believe you guys even mentioned Mixico - everyone in the blogosphere knows that record was born of drug addiction, depression, and creative bankruptcy (much like Bat Out of Hell II). Bob was writing his robotic aerobic ballet, "ANNAerobic," Drew and Kelvin were holed up in the Hollywood hills having debauched parties with Robert Downey, Jr, Rick James, and Meredith Baxter Birney, and Anders was doing just unspeakable things to a Coleciovision machine. Dark times.

MEXICO's invaluable contributions to the fields of supergroupery, geographical naming, and action rock cannot be ignored or underestimated. Or categorized.

Holy shit!!!! MEXICO!!!!!!! The rock show was awesome. I had a Big Mac and a Budweiser at the MEXICO show. It was awesome.

Your friend request came in on the same day as requests from Sheelagh (nice undies), Loutitia (nice pink top, unbuttoned), and Delcine (nice rock and roll playboy outfit). It took me awhile to consider these requests before I could get to yours.
