Mezcla (born 1981 in Celle) grew up in Verden near Bremen, where he got into drum'n'bass music in 1998. 2000 he eventually started mcing at homesessions and smaller partys. Tired of the Bremen rave-scene he moved to Göttingen in 2001, where he soon met local DnB-DJs Benshee, Drumpusher and Takeo. In october 2003 they started a monthly clubnight called DRUM'N'BASEMENT, which they are still running successfully, presenting all kinds of artists from the national scene. Spending half a year in Spain and a couple of month in Central America, Mezcla got the chance to improve his language skills and to get in touch with the scene there. These impressions helped him to develop his own style and also encouraged him to employ more German lyrics. Since 2005 he is doing nubreakz and electro-stuff with producer Moeta. Early 2006 he founded the TABLEDANCE SOUNDSYSTEM with Roger Berkeley & Jerksta and also became resident at the monthly clubnight THE LIQUID LUXURY, which has already been honored by the likes of Danny Byrd and Lomax. After several liquid luxury-nights at club Electroosho this event nowadays takes place at Rodeo Bar.
