KEO films, an independent television company, are doing a follow-up to their highly acclaimed Channel 4 documentary series ‘Meet the Natives’. The latest series for Channel 4 involves a group of Amish from America in their late teens/early twenties discovering the UK and where they experience what life is like beyond the Amish community.
We are looking for a host-family to show the Amish what British life is like.
• Are you, or someone in your family, in a band between the ages of 16-22 years old? • Do you have a festival-gig in June or July? • Are you a sociable person, who enjoys other people’s company? • Represent British teens
We are looking for musicians, in a band, between the ages of 16 and 22 years who are interested in showing the Amish about life in Britain for young people. He or she would be a great companion and potentially allow some of the Amish visitors to stay in their home (like a foreign exchange student); both parties could learn from one another, offering us valuable insights and stimulating debate about how we should be living in the modern world.
The Amish will be in the UK from mid-June to late-July, they will stay with 3 different families, each one for one week. The costs of their Amish-guests’ stay will be covered.
