About me:
We are a group of young professionals, 21 to 40-something helping promote the Museum of Fine Arts through social, volunteer and arts related events.
The Contemporaries began in 2002 by a group of art-loving young professionals. Our vision is to involve cultural-minded young adults in the bay area with the Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg. The group hosts social events each year that combine art and entertainment.
“Our mission is to engage young professionals in the arts and increase museum participation. We seek to cultivate future volunteers and patrons through art-related social events and community outreach. Through this interaction, we will continue to support the museum through fund-raising events and cultural activities.”
The Contemporaries is governed by on all volunteer steering committee. Current members include: Desmond Clark, President; Melissa Rutland, Vice President; Carolyn Dockus, Secretary. If you are interested and would like to find out how to participate in the Contemporaries, send us an email!

Who I'd like to meet:
Any and all young professionals, 21 to 40-something who are interested in helping promote the Museum of Fine Arts through social, volunteer and arts related events. Choose your level of participation - join the steering committee, chair an event or just come to our parties!
