MG15 se formaron en 1983, dentro de la escena Hardcore Punk internacional que eclosionó a principios de los años ochenta. El nombre del grupo se inspiró en un arma de destrucción masiva, el gas VX, cuyas letras se invirtieron para formar la abreviatura de “Mortal Gas 15” que les da su nombre. La formación original estaba compuesta por Ivan (guitarra y voz) , Diego (Bajo) y Miguel (batería), con Alberto como nuevo bateria desde el 92 hasta la fecha.
Su aparición en 1984 en varias recopilaciones en Inglaterra y USA, en fanzines y revistas especializadas de la talla de “Maximum rock.& roll” y en emisoras de radio no convencionales contribuyeron a que rapidamente se hicieran un hueco en la escena alternativa del momento. Su Punk crudo y oscuro, sus letras apocalípticas, el hecho de cantar en español, lo reducido de las tiradas de sus trabajos discográficos y una distribución totalmente underground, contribuyeron a que llegaran a convertirse en una banda de culto en escenas Hardcore Punk maduras como Japón, Europa, USA y Latinoamérica.
Todos los trabajos editados por MG15 están recogidos en 3 albumes "LOS SINGLES 1983-2005", "CLON" y "EL ALBUM NEGRO". Durante 2009 aparecerán 2 nuevos trabajos, un nuevo larga duración y un single titulado
"Estado de Gracia", con versiones de 6 bandas punk y hardcore españolas de los 80.
Actualmente, a la formación original se ha unido Bastu como 2º guitarra.

MG15 got together in 1983, forming part of the international hardcore Punk scene which emerged in the early 80’s. The name of the group is inspired by the massive destruction weapon, gas VX, the letters of which were inverted to make the abbreviation “Mortal Gas 15” hence the name. The original members of the group were Ivan (guitar & vocals), Diego (bass) and Miguel (drums), and later on, as of 1992 Alberto took over as the new percussionist. Their inclusion in 1984 on various compilation records in England and the USA, in specialist fanzines and magazines of the magnitude of “MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL” and on the alternative music radio stations, rapidly contributed to them finding their place within the alternative music scene of that moment. Their raw, dark punk sound, their apocalyptic lyrics, the fact that they sang in Spanish, the limited editions of their records and totally underground distribution all helped them to become a cult band on the hardcore Punk scene at its ripest in Japan, Europe, USA, and South America. All the original work released by MG15 is contained on 3 albums “THE SINGLES 1983-2005”, “CLONE” and “THE BLACK ALBUM”. During 2009 2 new releases appeared, a new long play and a single entitled “State of grace”, with versions of 6 Spanish punk and hardcore groups of the 80’s. hey guys! i went to lisbon just to see you and it was a shame what happens.... unfortunelly because of the changes i was only able to see 2 songs of you.... ): so you have to come back to portugal!!!! but this time to the north of portugal, and play in a crust/punk gig, not in a gig for kids.... you deserve better audience!!!!! cheers and hope i see you in portugal as soon as possible, i want more than 2 songs or listen to it in the cd i bought eheheh come back for more!!!!!!!
