About me:
I'm an itinerant environmental scientist who is traveling the country in search of a satisfying job. So far, I've lived in Colorado, Wisconsin, Maryland, Massachusetts, California, and Idaho. I'm currently serving a year with AmeriCorps as a community outreach coordinator in NW Oregon. -- Sometimes the coolest jobs are the ones you don't get paid for. At heart, I'm a city girl, but I love hiking and enjoy spending time in small towns. One of the most beautiful places in the world, in my humble opinion, is the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado -- home of Great Sand Dunes Naitional Park. I also love beaches and the ocean. I am a sometimes poet and an occasional musician. And I'm one of those people that believes it's not about the destination, but rather it's about the journey (and the people you meet along the way). Ellena	Feb 22 2008 4:08 PM Hey Megan! I've been meaning to call you again. Sorry about the interruption last time with Alicia. She just wasn't feeling well. We had to postpone her first birthday to the following weekend because all she wanted to do was sleep and be in arms when she was awake. Poor little thing. She's back to herself now though, the ornery little girl she normally is! So, you're in Ohio now then? Is that finally a job you landed out there? Is it cold? Where are you staying? Do you have a roomy? We're doing well. Same 'ol same 'ol...but that's okay though. I hope you like it out there and when you get adjusted I hope you enjoy your stay there and make good memories! It was good hearing from you! Good luck! Talk to you soon!

Ellena	Oct 31 2007 6:10 PM Hey Megan. I promise I'm working, really! :) Yeah, we're taking Alexei out tonight. We'll probably leave Alicia at Jackie's house where it's nice and warm. We'll go around the block or so where Jackie lives so we'll be close to Alicia though. And then we'll probably go to my grandparents house to show of their costumes. We'll take pictures! Alexei is going to be a lion and we just bought Alicia a Winnie the Pooh costume. :) About dinner, yeah, that sounds nice. I'm sure Gabe would be up to it. Just let us know when a good time for all of you would be. Oh, and about the picture comments...just look at the bottom of the picture. If you click on the link, ("My Hot Comments" is what it sometimes says) it will take you to the place where you can select and post more comments. All you have to do when you find one you like is highlight the script under the picture, copy and then paste that script when you post a comment. You can try it on me for practice.
