From my young and tender years, it was Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, Brubeck, and later, Keith Jarrett, Oscar Peterson, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, my fellow musician friends and partners.
I am influenced by conversations, dreams, the phenomena of deep ocean waters, running though the woods, the volcanic craters, the wind, smells, touch, immediate attraction..... and the beat goes on..

Some of you have commented you would like to hear only original songs.
My next CD will be just that! Meanwhile, try to dig the musicality here.

Aloha friends (old and new). I am living again on the Big Island, land of active volcanos and deep blue ocean waters. Returned after 12 years on the island of Lanai where I was the pricipal musician for the Manele Bay Hotel. That island, the life I lived, is indelibly etched into my psyche for the remainder of my life: intense, immense. I swam daily, loved deeply, trained for triathlons, spent hours, daily, growing food for friends and neighbors. I ran alone for miles on empty red roads, with erratic winds, ghosts.. and between Lanai and the Big Island, the great payoff: I have many sincere friends here in Hawaii: Lanaians, the Vucanites (Volcano Village residents), fellow musicians, neighbors... some from 30 years ago. Thank you all for your love. I rely on it.
I believe in being honest. Passion is required. Without music my life could have been a disaster.
I am single, energetic, mildly driven, and ever hopeful.
For those of you on the Big Island, please tune into my radio jazz show every Sunday morning on KHBC
in Hilo at 92.7, and in Kona at 92.1 from 6-10.
You'll hear mostly jazz on the show, including music from the big band era, some blues, jazz fusion, smooth jazz, great vocalists, and more!
