About Medicine Hat Folk Music Club Songwriter Night
The Medicine Hat Folk Music Club Songwriter Night is committed to providing a supportive environment for all songwriters where original compositions can be performed before an appreciative audience. Songwriter Night is held every second Friday of each month at The Prickly Pear Cafe in downtown Medicine Hat. Our Songwriter Night season runs from September to May, except for the month of December. In January, Songwriter Night is held in conjunction with our Tongue on the Post Folk Festival which happens on the last weekend in January. In an effort to promote emerging and established touring artists, we hold a FEATURE SONGWRITER night three times per season. The selected Feature Songwriter plays a fifty minute set. Otherwise, all songwriters are alloted 3 songs or 15 minutes......whichever comes first!
We invite you to stop in if you’re passing through, or.........mark your calendar for the Tongue on the Post Folk Festival in January or....leave us a comment. The Medicine Hat Folk Music Club is committed to providing "Original Music for Original Folk."
