From out of the shadows,comes one of Zimbabwe's most gifted bassist,singer,songwriter,composer, producer and arranger...The artist in question is HILTON MAROWA. Born and bred in HARARE/ZIMBABWE...it was on a Monday,the 12th of June in 1969 when Hilton was born.And it was early in his high school days that he picked up the guitar and got hooked on it ever since...... But it was only after high school that Hilton decided a career as a professional musician was his future.....He went on to play with almost every middle/heavyweight name in the Zimbabwean music scene.In the early 90s his international tours began with the now late MBIRA(thumb piano) maestro Ephat Mujuru. Despite the influence and inspiration of various legendary performers in Hilton's music style,his music has remained true to his SHONA/ZEZURU roots.........The dreadlocked Hilton is also a painter,designer(art),conceptualist,explorer...he is an ambassador... Hilton has performed in Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, DRC, Mozambique, South Africa,Libya,Congo Brazzaville,Tanzania, Finland, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Belgium, France, Germany, Austria and Holland Its quite certain that the stars Hilton has worked and rubbed shoulders with have fallen upon him.... HILTON IS IN ASCENDANCY....
