Housing Association Rock! Sex, Plumbing and Rock'n'Roll
This is the My Space home of the mhs ROCK BAND. We are an amateur band formed from the staff of mhs Homes in Medway. We have come together specifically to play one great Rock'n'Roll show at a Secondary School in Kent as part of our 2008 Conference, to generate money for Macmillan Cancer Charity. The band have a 'Triple A side': REGENERATION speaks of the trials and tribulations of business and personal transformation; THE CREDIT CRUNCH BLUES is a cathartic release of emotion around the impending recession / squeeze etc., and; 16 TONS bemoans the fat cat culture of the recent banking meltdown!! We recorded our hits on September 19th 2008 at Ranscombe Studios in Rochester, under the guidance of the great Jim Riley who performs a cameo role on harmonica on Credit Crunch Blues.
Our songs will be sold to help generate £50 000 to build a facility for Macmillan Cancer in the Medway Towns, so please tell all your friends about this important venture. You can give a donation by clicking the link to http://www.justgiving.com/petercook3 - We suggest a donation of £2.99 or whatever you can afford.
Even if you don't like the songs, in the word of Sir Bob Geldof 'just give us the f.... g money. You can request a CD to be sent to you by sending an e-mail to kirstin.macrae@mhs.org.uk
