Okay, I'll list a few that are unsung yet need to be:
Fredy Perlman: "..Against His-Story, Against Leviathan.."
Fredy Perlman was born in Czechoslovakian of Jewish descent and fled the holocaust with his surviving family. He originally took refuge in Peru among the Quechua people, then later in New York city for a short bout with Academia, then on to Yugoslavia for a few years and finally back to Detroit, where he settled and helped establish a cooperative nonprofit printing press, Black & Red. He was a dissident against all forms of authority: Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, even established Anarchism. He always maintained his own distinct views independent of any authority. Against Leviathan is a prophetic voice retelling of the story of humankind and society since the birth of Leviathan, of recorded History (His-Story) and the ongoing enslavement of all people worldwide under the rubric of Leviathan (civilization vs. nature in perpetual warfare) His writing is unlike anything else, not like any other voice, yet it cuts to the core of universality of our experience. None of his books are in commercial print, but can still be purchased from Black & Red, I believe.

Gerard Colby and Charlotte Dennette: "..Thy Will Be Done: the conquest of the Amazon: Nelson Rockefeller and evangelism in the age of oil.."
A book written by two local Vermont authors from 1976 until 1994, and subsequently has been censored via publisher withholding rights (or some other legal tangle where it's not allow the be reprinted). It can be purchased online used but for premium amounts. I was fortunate enough to meet the authors and get a signed copy for $35 when our Peace Vigil hosted a lecture "The Pen vs. The Sword"

Michael C. Rupert: "..Crossing the Rubicon: The decline of the American Empire at the end of the age of oil.."
Mike Rupert is one who has shown the rarest form of human courage to speak truth to power; coming from a proud military, OSI and CIA family, all the doors to power were open to him, and yet he chose to expose levels of corruption only a brave minority are willing to even glimps at; Wall Street's and the CIA's direct economic connections to the international drug trade, complicity in and prior knowledge of the September 11th Attacks and the reality of Peak Oil. originally as a Narcotics officer in LAPD, and since 1998 as a brave public citizen. Rupert's offices were sabotaged in 2004. There has been a coordinated effort since 1974 to discredit, marginalize and basically destroy him, yet he struggles on despite all this.
