Review from Arthur Magazine
"Other new swoop on MJC is the Jesuve tape by CM, which is Todd Brooks from Brooklyn’s intriguing Pendu Sound Recordings collective along with Ghost Moth who have been doing those cool releases with free jazz maestro wildman Daniel Carter and something called Mialessot. This tape is awesome gas-tank bomb blast subcurrent explosion-core; real depth-charge action with an assured musical head-feel. MJC has been doing what they call their SHORTY series of shorter tapes (we think that’s what’s going on) of more outside-the-outside stuff." - Byron Coley & Thurston Moore from Bull Tongue in Arthur Magazine Issue 30

A little about me...
I am Todd Brooks, better known as Todd Pendu. I am founder/director of The Pendu Organization as well as an independent curator, show-promoter, musician, writer, and visual artist. As musician, I play prepared guitar, oscillators, and electronics in Ghost Moth (with Daniel Carter), Abuse Report, CM * Chaos Magick (formerly Mialessot), Barkminer, and Feral Comb. I have published a book of collected poetic-texts entitled "Analekta: Semantic Texts" and am currently working on a non-fiction work tentatively titled "Bouzingo Means Noise" about a relatively obscure French literary collective from the 19th century that included some famous figures including Gerard de Nerval, Theophile Gautier, Petrus Borel, and others. I also write music reviews and features for the online magazine Foxy Digitalis.
What is Chaos Magick?
"In Chaos Magic, beliefs are not seen as ends in themselves, but as
tools for creating desired effects. To fully realize this is to face
a terrible freedom in which Nothing is True and Everything is
Permitted, which is to say that everything is possible, there are no
certainties, and the consequences can be ghastly. Laughter seems to
be the only defence against the realisation that one does not even
have a real self." - from the PRINCIPIA CHAOTICA by Peter Carroll
