Music is Art LIVE @ the Center is a free event and an award winning television series that features Western New York’s best artistic talent.
Shot in the University at Buffalo's Center for the Arts Mainstage Theater, the show features a unique blend of musicians and visual artists in an urban loft atmosphere.
Each half-hour episode features original musical performances, visual arts demonstrations and highlights the stories behind the artist's work. Several episodes will be produced this upcoming season and broadcast statewide on WNED Thinkbright TV, UB Campus Cable Channel 46 and the New York Network. Doors open and artist exhibitions begin at 7pm with music starting at 7:30pm.
This series is a result of collaboration between the Center for the Arts and the Music is Art Foundation (Robby Takac; Chameleonwest Studios/Goo Goo Dolls).
Music is Art LIVE @ The Center is made possible by staff and crew consisting of over 60 people which include a team of professional production personnel from the Center for the Arts, Chameleonwest Studios, local award winning video production personnel, and UB student interns.
Music is Art LIVE @ The Center offers support to up-and-coming local musicians, visual and performing artists, by providing a professional venue to showcase their work.
In addition, through television broadcasts, artists receive invaluable exposure to thousands of people in the region. Music is Art Live @ The Center offers free and family-friendly entertainment to all who attend from the UB community and Western New York region.
Music is Art LIVE @ The Center is the recipient of a 4 Telly Awards. The Telly Awards are the premier awards honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs. This widely known and highly respected national and international competition receives over 12,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries.
