Now a little about me. I'm single and live in Downtown Miami. I grew up in a small town, called Westbrook, Maine. Its just outside of Portland. My family didn't have much money and I was never really encouraged to go to college or make something with my life. Thankfully, I have always had a lot of drive and ambition and made up my mind when I was young that I would do something productive with my life.
I consider myself to be very down to earth. In one sentence I would best describe myself as the girl next door(OK woman-lol, I am fighting my age every step of the way). I love living in a big city with lots of action, but I never lost my small town values. I always try to put myself in other peoples shoes and truly see where they are coming from. I enjoy listening to other people and truly believe that I can learn something from every person I come in contact with.
As a child, I always wanted to live in a big city when I grew up. I moved to New Hampshire by myself right after my 21st birthday and lived there for a year and a half. I went onto Buffalo, New York after that to attend college and spent a few years there. I did my last 2 years of school at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia where I received a degree in Ophthalmic Technology. I moved to South Florida in 1997 and began working as an Ophthalmic Technologist. Unfortunately, I entered a field where there was no room for advancement. I started and ended at the top.
In 2000, I entered the real estate field with 2 very good friends who were also in the health care field. We staretd off as investors, buying, rehabbing and selling properties. We never planned on getting licensed as real estate agents, but we got sick of dealing with other agents who would not return our phone calls. I soon grew to love the real estate industry and resigned from my job as an Ophthalmic Technologist in 2002 to become a full-time Realtor, Mortgage Broker & Real Estate Investor. I have experience with real estate investments and have worked for large companies, such as Century 21 and RE/MAX.
In mid 2006, we started doing predominantly leases for all types of rental properties. Everybody needs a place to live, and it gives me great pleasure when I can help somebody find a house or apartment that they love.
I am a Kabbalist and am a very spiritual person. Kabbalah is the world’s oldest body of spiritual wisdom. It contains the keys to the secrets of the universe as well as the keys to the mysteries of the human heart and soul. Kabbalah is not a religion; its a way of life. It is by no means dogmatic. You can be Catholic, Jewish, Buddhist, etc. and yet still be a Kabbalist. Kabbalah is not about religion; spiritual oneness & peace is the key to Kabbalah. In my opinion, religion is one of the biggest causes of separtism amongst people. Kabbalah teaches you to take resposibility for your actions and eliminates the "victim consciousness". I have been studying Kabbalah since 2003 and it has really touched my life in a profound way. I am in no way saying that Kabbalah is the only way. There are many spiritual practices that encourage people to improve their lives and become better people. In fact, I study & practice other spiritual disciplines besides Kabbalah.
I am a big believer in KARMA, and I live my life by the golden rule that is to treat other people the way I like to be treated. It is very important to treat everybody we encounter each day with human respect & dignity.
My life is by know means perfect. Those of you who know me on a personal level know that I do have a temper and can be pretty reactive at times. However, I do strive everyday to be proactive, connect to the Light and transform myself into a better person.
