MIAMI OPEN MIC started as an idea proposed by its two main partners: Antonio Yatim and Ricardo Fiorani, who have been musicians in the local and international scene for the past 15 to 20 years. A third member,
Esteban Camacho, joined in the effort to help out promote the event.
This idea has become a fact and will have its GRAND OPENING this Thursday, September 25th, 2008, from 8:00 p.m. in "MATADOR: Sports Bar & Grill" which is located in 10325 Hammocks Blvd, in Miami (Kendall/Hammocks area) right by the ice skate arena.
If you are or know an artist, musician or band that is interested in showing people the skills in an instrument or on a stage, you MUST be there every Thursday starting September 25th. It will be the best place to network with other musicians, bands and other artists, and it might be the right place at the right time for you.
MIAMI OPEN MIC will be providing the following equipment:
- 1 guitar amp
- 1 bass amp
- 1 drum set w/o snare and cymbals. No drumsticks provided. Throne is provided
- Mics, stands and mic cables. No instrument cables provided
- The whole P.A. System
- No bass, guitars, strings, straps or tuners will be provided
So, what are you waiting for? It will be right next to you in Kendall, and everything will be given for you to play and sing. Just bring whatever you use that is not showing in the list provided above. Of course, also bring your people and be prepared to enjoy the night hearing some of the top-notch musicians performing in front of you. Who knows? You might meet the right people to hit it off...

This bulletin is just to let you know that Miami Open Mic on thursdays at Matador Sports Bar and Grill has been temporarily cancelled due to an unexpected shoulder injury which will require surgery in one of its partners, Ricardo Fiorani.
We will soon retake our positions and restart rocking Miami with the best talent our there. Thank you very much for your support.
