Bio
M.I.A. is an American band with its roots in the punk music scene of the 1980s. Originally from Las Vegas, the band relocated to Southern California where they helped define the "Orange County sound." M.I.A. released four albums in the 1980s, all now considered classics of the genre. They toured extensively, playing shows with other seminal bands of the period, including Dead Kennedys, Social Distortion, T.S.O.L., Circle Jerks, Dickies and others. Following the death of singer Mike Conley in 2008, the band reformed for a benefit show and continued to play a select number of shows including Warped Tour and the Alternative Tentacles 30th Anniversary. Singer Todd Sampson died in the summer of 2010, placing the band on a permanent hiatus. -

man, what a fucked up tragic loss... Mikes passing was sudden and such a shock to all of us. In L.V. we are so fucking hurting right now with Todds death... both of these men gone too young...
I was hoping for another San Diego appearance, too. I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm grateful I was able to see you at Beautiful Noise and San Diego Warped Tour.
