Nomad extraordinaire, Mia Zepeda is originally from nowhere in particular. Born in the Dominican Republic to Peace Corps volunteer parents (a wildlife biologist and a forester), Mia grew up moving from state to state to not-quite-a-state and back again, including parts of California, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, and Texas. She began her musical journey at age 5, picking out songs by ear on the piano, and taking more formal lessons from her mother as part of her home school curriculum. Mia learned how to play the guitar while attending Florida State University, and after messing around with the thing for a few months she began writing her own songs. She released her debut EP, "Waiting to Breathe" in the summer of 2007 ( www.cdbaby.com, itunes), and shortly afterwards suffered from a serious case of restlessness, prompting her to pack her bags and move to South Korea.
These days she can be seen performing at various gigs around the Seoul area.

I was listening to Schuyler Fisk and then I thought, "Man, she sure sounds like Mia." You're material worth investing in, Mia! If she can make it there's no reason you won't!
Alright Mia how are you doing? I hope you had a good xmas and new years. Have you been doing many gigs lately? Have you got any lined up in the near future?
