Rooting from the back country and windy hills of Northern Pennsylvania, Clarke's blend of technical styling and compelling lyrics create a sound all his own.
Writing and performing original music that offer an open door to a man that's been broken and healed by his own experiences in life. His influences include bluegrass, folk, and acoustic rock melodies mixed with simple and meaningful lyrics from many walks of music. From original rock to modern acoustic to basic blues and country classics, his influences are widely arranged.
What sets Micah apart from others is his genuine passion for creating music. Micah's dream has little to do with typical success, but rather harbors a deeper meaning.... a deeper want to touch and reach people through understanding of how his music relates to their own lives. His genuine, truthful, and heart felt passion for music is evident in his honesty and willingness to be selfless in creating music.
Micah recently had the opportunity to work with producer Steve French, member of the band Starclub, now turned producer out of NYC. Here is what Steve had to say about working with Micah...
"I met Micah on myspace through the production deals i have been offering. (See - i did mean what I said.) I fell in love with his song "Coming Down" and knew immediately that i wanted to work with him. The track built its self, and Micah's crooning voice is wonderful. Thank you Micah for a great job. We are now looking into promotional opportunities for him and the track, and i'd also love to find funding to complete an album. Micah is a class act, and I want the best for him."
Mark Dignam has been bumping into Paul Luc and Ben Shannon a lot, at Treelady Studios, where they are all working, on their upcoming albums. They admire each others work so much, they decided to put together what promises to be, a mini singer/songwriter festival.. Watch for special guests and a very memorable night at The Rex Theater, 1602 East Carson Street. Pittsburgh, PA 15203. 8pm. $10.
