風格近似
A unique combination of Delta and Appalachian/Piedmont Acoustic Blues, and Southern Rock, all performed in a back-porch-110-Degree-Heat-Middle-Of-Summer antique style. Imagine Robert Johnson meets Duane Allman meets Bukka White.
Nevertheless, it sounds good! Give it a listen!

Recording
On February 4th and 7th, 2007, Micah went into Insea Sound Studios in Nelsonville, OH and recorded a demo entitled Dobro Blue. Dobro Blue is an all acoustic album consisting of Dobro, National Steel Body Guitars, 12-String Acoustics, and other Acoustic Guitars. He wrote 4 of the songs, one being traditional. The other 2 are cover songs.
He dedicated the album to his "Old Friend" Lewis Sowers. It was also dedicated to his Dad, family, and friends, who have believed in him since day one.
In Summer of 2009, Micah went back to Insea Sound Studios and recorded three new songs. These songs include "Blues Like Midnight", "Travelin' Mississippi Blues" and "Five O Blue". These recordings have been paired with the best of his first recordings in 2007, an interview and a live performance to make up his 2009 Demo.
Future Recording
Micah has plans to record his debut album in January 2010. Sean Carney is planned to produce the album.

I've seen beer bottles used as slides before as a gimick for showmanship, but never heard of one being used mandatorily because the guitarist forgot his slide. Did you ever find it and where was it? Good story and I hope you kept the bottleneck slide as a momento. I'm really glad you got rebooked into the acoustic festival as I really enjoyed that fest and I'll look foreward to attending. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see you long before then but the imminent future will be tied up with holiday preparation.

Danggg Micah, to answer your questions: The beard was just a little something I grew the other day. No biggie. Until it started eating my food for me. Daddy felt so bad about all the crap he's put me through int he last four years that he decided out of the kindness of his heart he would infact go out and buy me a 1959 Les Paul Tobacco Sunburst Flame Top. The grover tuners and lack of pickgaurd were artistic choices on my part. Gotta break the mold. It's not like anyone else would ever think of that, right? Right. ;] And as for the name change thing, clearly Duane Allman fits me much better than Beth Keith ever did. People keep comparing this scruffy blonde guy that plays some random Les Paul to me. I don't see it, man. Clearly we aren't simular AT ALL hahaha.
"Old Bag of Nails" sounds like a neat place. Wish I could make that one but I'll be in Sarasota on the 24th. Do you think you will be playing the Acoustic Blues Festival again next year? I'm sure I will see you before then, but I did really enjoy that fest.
Sorry I missed your performance but it was nice visiting with you and your parents. The catfish sandwich was the best I've ever had. I guess August was not my month for good travel experiences with the events I told you about getting to Pomeroy & Williamsport. Last Wednesday, my flight to Las Vegas was delayed by rain and when I opened my luggage in Vegas, my clothes were wet!!! Looking at my schedule, perhaps we can make it over to Hebron. I'll check with my brother and cousin as well as my cousin Barb who lives in Columbus and let you know in a couple of weeks if we plan to attend. Hopefully, September will treat my travels more kindly.
Weather does not look that great for Pomeroy Friday night but I'll keep checking. It's a 3 1/2 hour drive so whether or not we make the trip is weather dependent. If we make it, there will be at least 3 fo us and possibly 4. I'm hoping the westher will look better tomorrow.
