Mic Blu, a formidable vocalist, songwriter, and lyricist, is a youthful heart with an "old spirit". His creative blend of classic soul and newschool sounds have garnered him recognition in Gospel and secular circles alike. He now carves out a niche for himself by way of his "Modern Hymns", a sub-genre of Nureau (coined by label-mate and super-producer, TON3X). While he was very well known for his singing talent in highschool, Mic Blu made his debut in 2003, with a demo EP entitled "Michael: I've Been Altared", which was well received.
His debut full-length release, "LoveHate: The Blu Baptism" was released on Valentine’s Day 2008 to a worldwide audience via iTunes. The album was re-launched two months later at the release concert for DAVID 2.0's "RED 4:12, The Anti-Virus", with a compact disc counterpart.
Mic Blu has shared the stage and/or studio with notables such as TON3X (aka Tonéx), DAVID 2.0, EnXo, Law The Hybrid, Kelly Price, Reba McEntire, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Tyrese, Anthony Hamilton, Israel & New Breed, Steve Harvey, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, MaryMary, Omega Mythologist, AJB & Answered Prayers, Undefeated, Brotha Los, Rhema K, Wyze Guyz, Lyrikal Princess, Simone Edwards, and a host of others.
