About "the band":
Michael has been performing music for most of his life, in a variety of styles. With a professional musician/music educator father, this is hardly surprising. After several years of pursuing academic interests (in a field quite unrelated to music), he has returned to music performance, more or less full-time, in a variety of styles.
Classical performance is primarily choral. He performs on an irregular basis with various choral organizations in Chicago, including church and synagogue choirs. He may also be engaged for weddings, funerals, and other classical solo work: visit www.baldguymusic.com for more information.
Pop/Rock performance involves shows at a variety of venues in the Chicagoland area. He plays several days a week at Potbelly Sandwich shops, along with weekly or monthly appearances at a variety of other venues. Regular weekly performances will not be listed on the performance schedule, but may be seen in the latest "regular performance" blog. These shows consist primarily of covers, encompassing a wide range of popular music from the 60s to today. The songs found on this page are a sample of his original works.
