Buffalo is a "solo" act, and often performs acoustic shows, having ben fortunate enough to be accomponied by folks like Donnie Winters, Denny Walley, Tommy Talton and Tommy Crain. He is also looking into shows with Tommy Crain & The Crosstown Allstars, Denny Walley (Frank Zappa/Captain Beefheart), Lee Bogan, The Rhythm Pigs, Sonny Edwards, Freddie Vanderford, The Winters Bros. Band... you get the picture.

Michael Buffalo Smith was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC, where he grew up admiring the music of hometown heroes The Marshall Tucker Band, as well as Southern Rock founding fathers The Allman Brothers Band. Oddly enough, he was enjoying these bands at the same time he was diggin' KISS and Alice Cooper. Ah yes, make no mistake, the Buffalo is a bit eclectic.
Buffalo has released five albums since 1992, the latest being SOMETHING HEAVY, recorded at Mill Kids Studios in Huntsville, Alabama, featuring The Crawlers, Danny Hall and guests PETE "GUITAR" CARR (Hourglass, Bob Seger), GEORGE McCORKLE (Marshall Tucker), JO JO BILLINGSLEY (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and JOHNNY WYKER (Sailcat)... On his 2002 release SOUTHERN LIGHTS, Buffalo perfomed a duet with BONNIE BRAMLETT (Delaney & Bonnie, The Allman Brothers Band)....
