"Michael Camacho is the best jazz vocalist on the scene today.
A very essential balladeer, a beautiful CD, I like it and I'm sure you will too."
- Frank Wess
"Michael Camacho's latest recording is a perfect example of the tradition that brings exciting, new, interesting and potentially great talent to New York City. Michael Camacho is the new jazz vocalist in town, enjoy.
Sincerely,

If you enjoy Michael Bublé and Tony Bennett then you're bound to love Michael Camacho's music!
Michael's JUST FOR YOU album is for everyone who loves jazz. A million seller internationally, Michael is now singing jazz standards from the Great American Songbook and writing what is becoming the new set standards of our future.
Of the twelve selections on this album, Camacho created five compositions including the title track and he gives new life to songs written by Johnny Mercer, Sammy Cahn, Hoagy Carmichael, Lennon and McCartney, just to name a few.
Michael's JUST FOR YOU album is one of the most relaxing and at the same time compelling vocal works in the traditional jazz idiom. Camacho's band is made up of New York's first rate musicians. To hear Michael live is also a delightful experience as he always approaches material with a fresh and spontaneous interpretation. His sense of melody, rhythm, and control puts him at the top of the list of vocalists on the jazz scene today.
Delivering a sound thats a throwback to the class and swank of the crooners of the 1940s, yet with a freshness thats today and all his own, Michael is a traditional jazz vocalist. His repertoire encompasses everything from original compositions to Cole Porter and Duke Ellington, exuded in a style that stirs those unfamiliar with the music and those who grew up with it.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Michael grew up listening to all of the great vocalists from Nat King Cole to Sarah Vaughn and Mel Torme.
Although his roots are in jazz, Michaels experience covers an eclectic array of musical genres and influences including Doowop, pop and R&B and hes sung a number of national commercials. In the 80's he was a member of the duo "Sly Fox" having had a top ten single and top forty album throughout the world. .Michael also has a background in the theater and Independent film work as an actor.
Michael has surrounded himself with a renowned cast of musicians of whom are the likes of Frank Wess, Billy Hart, Paul Bollenbeck, John Hart, Randy Johnston, Edsel Gomez, Francois Moutin from the Moutin Reunion Quartet and Joe Cohn, the son of the late Al Cohn. In a business of would be, so called jazz singers this guy is the real thing. The tradition of Hartman, Joe Williams lives on.
If you are interested in purchasing "Just For You" contact Michael right here at his Myspace for further details.
He knows what he's doing. And what he's doing is staking his claim as a front-runner among that rarest of songbirds today-the male jazz singer".
- Suzanne Lorge, All About Jazz
"With a light, tenor voice that allows him to interpret sincerely, Michael Camacho sings standards and original songs with an acoustic piano trio and guests. He's equally effective with lyrics as he is with scat singing. A true jazz singer who's at home in a typical, intimate nightclub setting, he updates the straight-ahead repertoire with comforting textures. While his vocal range remains rooted firmly in higher register, Camacho's love for the art of jazz singing recalls Nat King Cole and Mel Torme."
- Jim Santella, LA Jazz Scene , November 2007
"Camacho's meaningful tone will stir listeners, and the passion that lies just beneath the surface of every song is undeniable".
- Sari N. Kent, The Celebrity Cafe
