My name is Michael Connell and I'm a comedian. I live in beautiful Gladysdale and work mostly in Melbourne though I do travel a fair bit.
I began performing when I was three in the back yard with the Hills Hoist acting as stage and curtain, and he haven't stopped since.
When I was thirteen I learnt to Juggle and mucked around in various small circuses and did a bit of busking. In January 2000 I entered a comedy comp at the legendary Star and Garter Hotel and have been performing stand up comedy ever since.
I've won comedy competitions, performed in the Melbourne Comedy Festival, the New Zealand Comedy festival in Auckland, toured Tassie, performed at Her Majesty's Theatre, at half time during a footy game at Telstra Dome, in the main hall of the Melbourne Town Hall (twice), been on TV, Radio, film, done shows at high schools, universities, corporate evetnts, festivals, and some other stuff.

The Beatles, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Cog, Faith No More, Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Xavier Rudd, NIN, Ween, U2, VAST, The White Stripes, Offspring, The Black Keys, TISM, The Cure, Dandy Warhols, The Bloodhound Gang, Supergrass, Mos Def, STP, Air, Beck, Eskimo Joe, Beastie Boys, Fatboy Slim, Gary Numan, Hendrix, Local H, Luscious Jackson, Nick Cave, The Pixies, The Eels... just to name a few off the top of my head... | | Movies | Shaun of the Dead is, I think, the funniest movie of all time. I also quite liked Dumd and Dumber. Buster Keaton made some great shorts like One Week, and The Playhouse. I'm usually dispointed by feature length comedies though, so when I watch films they tend to be serious; the Godfather, LOTR, City of Lost Children, Akira, Willow, The Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, etc. | | Television | It's my addiction.
