The victims of September 11, 2001 are never far from my thoughts. I will forever remember the men, women and children who lost their lives in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, Flights 11, 77, 93 and 175, along with the emergency and rescue workers, port authority workers and
policemen, and the rescue dogs who worked tirelessly in the rubble to find victims and lost their lives as well. Below are the victims of 9/11 who were from my state. I can't list everyone here who died that day, but these four victims from Georgia will remain posted here as a memorial to all victims of the tragedy.
This is Edna L. Stephens. I never met her although we grew up only miles apart. Edna was 53 years old when she died in the Pentagon on 9/11. Please join me in honoring her memory and the memory of all who died that day in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, United Airlines Flight 175, United Airlines Flight 93, American Airlines Flight 11 and American Airlines Flight 77. To read more about Edna and learn what a wonderful person she was please read my blog.
According to my research...and I hope it's correct...there were three other Georgians killed on 9/11. They were..

Me and Mr. Gibb
My late brother's all-time favorite band. Inspired by them, he taught himself to play bass guitar and was in a band for many years before his death. He was well known for his talent and passion for music.

Movies
Anything by M. Night Shymalan or Stephen King. My favorites are Signs and The Stand. I love old black and whites, especially the WWII romances. James Stewart, Katherine Hepburn, William Holden. None better. I love modern films too, but the old ones are near and dear to my heart. However, there is one modern day actor I find most appealing...and talented.

Forever in my heart...
Mother and me on Christmas evening 2007
Most everyone who's seen my page can tell that I adore Michael Crawford for many reasons. Here's one of those reasons. My mother celebrated her 90th birthday on December 10. She's dealing with dementia and is in a nursing home, but she knows who Michael is and knows that I'm a fan. I sent a birthday card and asked him to sign it so I could give it to her. Below is the inside of the card he returned. He is such a nice and caring man. He'll never know...unless I someday get to meet him...how much his kindness means to my mom and to me.
My main passion is writing. It's all I've ever wanted to do. I am a proud member of American Christian Fiction Writers. I'm concerned with world hunger and conserving our planet. After all it's the only one we have. I grow African Violets, read, bake...and unfortunately, eat...and I'm very fond of herb tea, British history and Michael Crawford, the most talented performer and best looking grandfather in the world. I collect apples, and if it has apples in it or on it or smells like apples, I want it!!
Years ago I had a German Shepherd, Max, and I had a litter of kittens, mostly black and white. Max loved those kittens so much that he was always licking them. They endured it with a fair amount of patience, but they ended up looking like drowned rats. Max and the kitties have been gone a long time, but I still miss them, and this photo so makes me want to cry. It brings back such memories.
I truly am a hopeless romantic! I've always been drawn to "men" like Vincent...and the romance. Now I've discovered this gorgeous vampire, Mick. You can catch him on Moonlight on CBS (Fridays, 9pm EST), Vincent's old hangout. I have a thing for vampires. :o)

I've tried to make it my mission on earth to do something to help, and I think I have in small ways. Now during the years I have left I want to try and make a more profound difference. There are so many ways to help. All around the world people are hungry, medical supplies are needed. The earth is being depleted of resources and needs to be replenished. Animals are disappearing at an alarming rate. It brought me to tears to hear a few weeks ago that the black rhino is now extinct. What a shame. We only have to look around our neighorhoods to see what needs to be done. When God made the earth and all that was in it, he created man to be its conservator. Seems we haven't always lived up to God's faith in us. But, it's not too late. There's a beautiful world out there to treasure. And, it starts with us. One person really can make a difference!

Hi Rebecca. I saw this silly picture and it's exactly what I am sitting in right now working on my computer. This roll top desk belonged to my sister before she died. It took two giant men to get it in the house! Hope you are having a good day. I just wish there were more clouds in the skies! Take care!

Good day to you Rebecca! I know that snow causes lots of problems - but I still love it! It's a warm and muggy day here where I am. It will be dry and sunny for Thanksgiving. I was at least hoping for clouds. I'm not doing much cooking this year. My kids are taking over!!! Love you!
