Huge range of musical influences - folk, jazz, classical, country, pop, rock, roots...anything with a melody and a groove, add plenty of emotion, and I'm into it!
Heavily influenced by the guitar styles of Chet Atkins, Merle Travis and Jerry Reed, Django, Earl Klugh, George Benson, Joe Pass, as introduced to me by my dear friend and mentor Tommy Emmanuel. I love everything that Mark Knopfler is involved with, early (teenage) influences: Beatles, Elvis, Elton John, Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, Harry Chapin, Gordon Lightfoot, Free, Tom Petty, Oasis, Shadows, Ventures, James Taylor...love the Finn brothers Neil & Tim, and lately, seriously into The Flight of the Conchords!
