GeneralLiving life to the fullest, keeping my job at Southwest (As in only a few more years I will be topped out, which means I will be making $24/hour to only REALLY work about half of the day, the other half spent sitting in the breakroom waiting for the next plane to arrive! EASY $$$!) Also spending as much time as I can with my wife and daughter, and hopefully someday having another child or two. Utah is nice in the summer, but the winters suck! I do miss Tennessee (though not as much as I did when I first moved here). Someday though I'd like to move back to either the Nashville area or somewhere like Raleigh, North Carolina. I'd like to have a bigger house with at least 2 acres of land so I can build my own greenhouse/sunroom with a hot tub. That would be SWEET!
Music,ANYTHING From the 70's, 80's and most of the 90's. 80's music is my favorite. It makes me feel nostalgic! I also like country music from the 90's and today (I don't really care for the old stuff.. Sorry, but Hank Williams does nothing for me!) I like pretty much anything. When I'm feeling stressed and need to relax, I like new age (Enya, etc) I like just about anything but death metal and hard core Rap, though I love the hair bands from the 80's and early 90's. And I also really enjoy the lighter rap. You know, the kind that's NOT about cop-killing, smoking weed and prositutes? The kind that's cool just cuz it has a good beat that will give your subwoofers a good workout?? Yeah, that's the kind of rap I like. Nothing violent or otherwise bad, just a good beat that will make your rearview mirror shake and sometimes fall off!! HEHE.. Oh, and I absolutely HATE OPERA :-P YUK! The closest to opera that I like is "Bohemian Rhapsody" from Queen. I can't even handle "Phantom of the Opera". I know my wife wishes I could as she loves that movie and it's soundtrack. But for me, if I hear it for more than 30 seconds I start to get a headache/stomach ache. Sorry dear.. you can listen to it all you want, but it's not for me.
MoviesWhen I do get a chance to watch movies, I like comedies and also suspense movies. I'm not a huge fan of horrer movies, but I love thrillers.
TelevisionI love the old shows.. I LOVE Three's Company (probably one of my favorite shows of all time)..The Wonder Years is good. I'm embarrassed to say it, but I was really into Beverly Hills 90210. I also like Unsolved Mysteries. Everybody loves Raymond is also pretty good. And of course I can't miss American Idol when it's on! We even get the east coast feeds of FOX on our DirecTV just so we can watch it one hour earlier than everyone else out here in Utah, as our local Utah FOX affiliate is delayed one hour to make up for the different time zones. One of my favorite channels is VH1 Classic! Gotta love the 80's videos!!!
BooksTo be honest, I'm not a big reader... though I DO like reading. I just never really get enough time to sit down and actually read a book. I do much better reading shorter things like magazines or the newspaper.
HeroesHmm.. my biggest hero is my wife. For over 10 years now she has been my best friend. I don't know what I'd do without her (and I don't ever want to find out! :) I think my daughter is also amazing.. so much in that little head of hers, it's so hard to believe she's only five.. Also my parents. I love them and am very thankful for the way they raised me and my brothers and sisters. I am very blessed to have such a great family. As for as "Celebrity" heroes.. I don't think I actually could personally put a celebrity to "personal hero" status. But if I were, most of the music groups of the 80's would be "sort of" heroes.. I am glad I was raised during that decade. I miss it back then. Even with all of our technology of today, there's nothing like putting a Thompson Twins or Night Ranger record on the turntable. So cool. Also digging out all those cassette tapes I recorded off the radio over 20 years ago, and dusting off the Beta VCR (Yes I still own one!) and playing a tape from the past! So cool it almost brings a tear to my eye!! LOL!

About me:
I am a proud husband and father currently residing in Salt Lake County, Utah. I am a native of Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. I was born and raised there until September 27,1996 when I moved south to an apartment in Antioch, Tennessee to be with the beautiful woman I would marry exactly one year to the day later. On February 28, 1998 we would move even further south (only about 5 miles, though) into our first house in the town of Lavergne. At the end of June in the year 2000 we would sell our house in Tennessee to move closer to family in Utah. On August 30, 2002 we would welcome our first child into the world, an incredible little girl we would name Michaela (Yes, a girl "junior"..hehe) After four years of living in the in-laws basement in Draper, on August 4, 2004 we would recieve the keys to our very own house in West Jordan, Utah, where we have lived since. I have had many jobs in my life since I graduated High School in 1990. In Pennsylvania I delivered newspapers, worked at a grocery store stocking the bread isle, in the kitchen of a nursing home, in the kitchen of a pizza place at the mall, and also at a greenhouse watering plants. I even worked for an incredibly long week at a factory that makes plastic bottles. I might have stayed longer if their machines weren't made before World War I and they payed me more than $4.75 an hour!! (Ooooh, big money there!!) Not that I got paid much at any of the other jobs I worked in PA. The grocery store only pay me $3.85 when I started. Of course that was back in 1991, but still after taxes added up to enough to buy a few sodas out of their vending machine!! WOW! The pizza place only paid me $4.50, and I was in charge of cleaning the grease trap under the sink! Why? Cuz the owner was too d*mn cheap to hire someone to do it. That was prehaps the grosest, nastiest thing I've had to do in my working career! YUK! Even at the nursing home, which happened to be my highest paying job in PA I was only making $6.15 an hour. Of course, all these jobs were back in the early '90's when I was still living with my parents with no wife, child or home to support, the only bills being my car payment and car insurance. Those kinds of salaries these days would just be totally impossible to even try to live on. It just could not happen! Anyway, back to my story :) Then When I moved to Tennessee, I got a job at the Opryland Hotel where I worked Security. THAT was a job that turn from total boredom to total chaos literally in under ONE MINUTE! After that I worked at the Whirlpool factory for about a month. THEN my big break finally came. I was hired as a ramp agent for Southwest Airlines at the Nashville international Airport. I am very lucky to have recieved that job. Fortunately, my move to Utah did not require me to quit. I simply transferred to the Salt Lake City airport where I have worked since. After all the little jobs I've had before, it's hard to believe that next April I will have worked at Southwest for NINE WHOPPING YEARS!! HOLY COW!! And fortunately Southwest pays much, much better than those early jobs in PA did, and they give me something none of those other jobs did either, BENEFITS! Before, I never knew how it felt to take vacation, because I never got any. But now I get 3 weeks vacation a year and in two more years I will have FOUR weeks a year. Of course it helps that they are fully unionized, but even so, Southwest is a very good place to work and they take good care of their employees. I am very thankful to work there! I am also lucky to have the two greatest women in the world, my lovely wife Kris and my beautiful (and very smart!) five year old daughter Michaela. She has so many great qualities she had to have gotten from her mother. She certainly didn't get her many talents from me! :) As for me, I don't really have a lot of talents (at least not desirable ones!) When I have the time, I like to watch TV, movies, and surf the internet and just be lazy.. hehe
Who I'd like to meet:
Hmmm... I don't really know. There's a lot of people I'd like to meet.. Any of the 80's icons that are still alive, be it music or movies, would be pretty cool. It so sad that John Ritter is no longer with us. He is one that I would have loved to have met. Some of the current country stars would be cool. I'd like to meet Tim McGraw or Toby Keith. If we still lived in Nashville, that could have been pretty easy, as there, being Music City you see the country stars all the time. But nobody ever comes to Utah... sigh..

i found this on a friends blog on yahoo. its about a womans passing, but when i read it i thought about you guys..
The Dash

I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of his friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning...to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
and spoke of the second with tears,
but he said that what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth,
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own;
the cars, the house, the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard,
are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left.
(You could be at "dash mid-range.")

If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real,
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.

And...be less quick to anger,
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,
and more often wear a smile,
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read
with your life's actions to rehash...
would you be pleased with the things they have to say
about how you spent your dash?
