Michael Gabriele is a RI native who started playing guitar after seeing The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. Heavily influenced and inspired by his childhood heroes. Michael began writing and recording at an early age.
His cd "A Puppet's Palace" is a collection of 12 original songs, all written and performed by Michael. The cd was given a favorable review and named CD OF THE DAY by AbsolutePowerpop.blogspot.com, on March 11, 2008. It also received another good review at PowerPopaholic.blogspot.com. And Ken Barnes of USA Today called it, "Diverting and charming..." in his blog Listen Up. Michael's next cd is currently in production, and should be done by the end of the year.
Michael's first cd, RECEPTION, has just been re-released! Stay tuned for more details and ordering info.
Meanwhile, Michael is currently gigging with his pals Dave Lima, Dan Rider, Paul Lozeau and Mike St. Pierre, otherwise known as THE SENDERS, one of RI's longest-running and most popular cover/rock bands. THE SENDERS are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year.
