What do you get when you unite complex chords, simplistic, yet, thought provoking lyrics, and melodies that will ring in your head for days? You get a good-looking Berklee College of Music student ready to serenade you at any given time. Noted for a unique soothing sound, catchy melodies, and unruffled stage presence, Michael Greenberg is beginning to create a pre-game buzz for audiences through out the Northeast.
Michael has performed with and for many artists such as Tim Reynolds, Ben Taylor, Keller Williams, Disco Biscuits, Braddigan and Pete Francis (Dispatch), Edwin Mcain, Josh Kelly, Blue Oyster Cult, Brian Vander Ark (Verve Pipe), Jeffory Gaines, Livingston Taylor, The Breakfast and Jeff Timmons...to name a few.
Michael brings a new twist to the traditional acoustic pop style. He has diverse inspirations ranging from rock, to folk, to bossa nova.
Described as “an awesome songwriter”, having “damn fine writing skills”, and “brilliant acoustic guitar work” it is no wonder that Michael’s music brings listeners to a standstill. You too will find yourself uncontrollably hitting the repeat button to his songs, humming the choruses for weeks. “Instead of generic acoustic fluffery, here comes gorgeous finger-picking, perfect rhyming lines bearing rounded, ripe fruit, and the one thing that cannot be beaten- a good sick pop hook.”
During the summer of 2005, Michael recorded "The Truths of Bees and Birds. This was to be his very first full-length solo album. The summer of 2007 was successfully spent touring the northeast as a key participant of Border’s Book and music store new musician series. In February of 2007 Michael signed a management deal with Inga Vainshtein, who is best noted as the manager who helped steer the career of folk singer Jewel (Kilcher) from coffeehouse-songstress to selling more than 15 million CDs worldwide. Michael is currently in the process of recording a new album and is touring with his full band so stay tuned for more to come!
