Dust & Daylight

"If you enjoy indie pop at all, there's a chance that one or two of your new favorites are on the new EP Dust & Daylight by Michael Gross and the Statuettes. I know, because it happened to me. The bright resonance of the guitar and the glimmering backdrop of the rhythm section provide the perfect setting for frontman Michael Gross to impart his heartfelt lyrics."
          -PLAYBACK:stl

"... 'Dust and Daylight' is a solid debut that has a retro rock charm and overall fun vibe - very cool for summer! 'I've Been Wrong Before' is the clear outlier here, but 'Novocaine' and 'You Can't Get What You Want' are becoming more enjoyable with each spin."
          -Bill's Music Forum

"Dust & Daylight adds a bit of twang to the group’s signature pop, which carries a slightly uneasy tone beneath the jingle-jangle flow. The six-track EP is flawlessly produced with instrumentation that downright shimmers around Gross’ heartthrob delivery. Wow. This is fast becoming one of our favorite jams."
          -Salt Lake City Weekly

Tales From A Country Home

"... It’s easy to believe that Michael Gross knows a scientific formula for catchy pop melodies—but you don’t have to be a scientician for all the songs from Tales from a Country Home to burrow themselves deep into your brain."
          -salt lake city weekly

"... Michael Gross is by no means a timid performer. 'Novocain' is full of strength and guts. There's no hanging back here, the guitars ramp it up and the electronic tune slots perfectly over this triumph of a song."
          -the mag

"...With catchy hooks and foot-stomping beats, they know how to keep you listening and hanging on to each word that Michael Gross sings."
          -the statesman

I went there for one year. Now I go to another CHS, Christian Heritage. I came to Clearfield to study Mormonism, and then got out of there as soon as I could. But I had two classes down in C Hall, so I saw you (Michael), alot.

I have listened to you and your tunes are good, and yes there is a friendship. But question: did one of you help teach at Clearfield with Special Ed? You look extremely familiar.
