
Michael Hazera started hitting on his drums at the age of twelve.
His first band was the french band SOTOS, whose music was often refered to as avant-prog, Rock In Opposition , zeuhl, progressive rock, etc...He released two albums with them, which met with strong acclaim throughout the world.
With the help of his teacher, jazz master Benat Amorena, he refines his personnal style and touch, and then enters the French National School of Music, from which he graduates.
Since the late 90s, experimenting various styles of music, he played in numerous jazz, avant-garde, rock, pop or even blues bands, such as ZAAR, Kobaïa Emgalaï Kolektiw, Trio Issachar, HOMA, L’Ornithorynque, Grand Jean-Luc etc...
Today, at the age of 26, he played more than 200 concerts, toured throughout France, participated in 10 studio albums, composed original soundtracks for documentaries, short cuts, websites, artist videos etc...
Among his principal influences : Christian Vander (Magma), Daniel Denis (Univers Zero, Present), David King (Happy Apple, Bad Plus), Joey Baron (Masada...)
