"There are so many things that influence me, the songs I write and the way I write them. I get influenced mainly by real life occurances, but films, books and paintings often spark a thought and trigger a reaction too. I listen to loads of music, and loads of different genres and I guess some of that comes out in my music, but I don't ever sit down to write a song and think 'I'm going to write a song like Elliott Smith or Gram Parsons'. There's quite a few people I'm enjoying right now though: Death Cab For Cutie, The Walkmen, Kings of Convenience, The Go! Team, Modest Mouse, Phoenix, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Ambulance Ltd, Arcade Fire. On top of them I'm fan of the likes of Zero 7, Ryan Adams, Primal Scream, Mojave 3, R.E.M., The Small Faces, Low, Fiona Apple, Buddy Holly, Stevie Wonder, Mercury Rev, The Clash, Easyworld, Beck, Air, Supergrass, The Cooper Temple Clause, Counting Crows, Neil Young, The Delfonics, The Delgados, Deltron 3030, Marvin Gaye, Eels, Grand Drive, The Hollies, Interpol, John Lennon, Louis Armstrong, Mew, Nada Surf, Mull Historical Society, Remy Zero and Rilo Kiley."

Born, bread and still living in Leicester, Michael Kaiser played his first gig at The Varsity in Wolverhampton in 2001. Receiving immediate praise, Michael went on to play many more gigs in Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Leicester as well as regularly gracing local radio stations with his prescence.
