HERE ARE THE DETAILS ON THE ABOVE SONGS. The first 3 tracks are improvisational in nature, while the last 3 are more rock oriented:
Snake Dance (Excerpt) - Ken Lovelett & Michael Knoblach - Lap Drum Album
This is an unmixed excerpt of a live percussion duo from Ken Lovelett's forthcoming Lap Drum album. The track was engineered by Pete Levin. Ken is playing a Lap Drum: a type of drum he invented which can be seen on his site (www.americanpercussion.com). He also made the large frame drum I play on the track, which I designed and refer to as my rattlesnake drum. Ken built the drum and I had him build a web in the back made from old tabla straps to which I had him attach about 75 rattlesnake tails i got off of ebay from all these weird hunters, mostly in Texas and Montana. That is why the low drum has such a nice, light, dry resonant buzz. Ken will probably be bringing some of his fine musician friends along for this CD. Past recordings have included Danny Gottleib, Pete Levin, Tony Levin, Bucky Milam, more...
Bowls - Eric Dahlman -Ripped Echo CD
This is a track I co-composed with Eric Dahlman which features me playing ceramic bowls with mallets, as well as some other percussion. It also features John Funkhouser on bass, Erik Nugent's throat singing and Brendon Wood on Lap Steel Guitar and Eric Dahlman on trumpet.
Naughddity - Auddity - Foil CD (Demo)
Opening track from an early demo of ours. A spacious, sonic soundscape with many ambient qualities.
Conjugal Visit - Ad Frank - Mr. Fancypants
Rock tune from local pop rock maestro Ad Frank, including Chris Mascara on Bass and myself on drum set.
Space Booty - Valhalla Kittens - Rock or Roll Compilation CD-Vinyl Ritchie Records
Glam rock early space age madness from one of my more recent rock projects. Not only am I playing drum set on this, but I also am responsible for all the NASA samples and telemetry signals sampled on this tune.
Paying For Damage - Twitcher - Leg of Lamb of God CD
Frantic, fast aggressive rock in many odd meters, including Reg Bloor on guitar (who later went on to marry Glenn Branca and play in his band, vocalist Sandra Malak (who went on to play bass with World Inferno Friendship Society) and bassist Dark Mark White who remains an in demand bassist and musician in the local Boston music community.

Dude! I don't think I fully expressed just how much I loved the "Ripped Echo" CD. You and Eric and the gang did a tremendous job. This is the music I've been trying to integrate into my own band, but you guys have it hard-wired, effortless and graceful. Keep up the good work! Your Pal, Tim
